Nagmeldin “Peter” Bol is a middle-distance runner who has represented Australia at Olympic Games (2016, 2020, 2024), Commonwealth Games (2022), World Championships (2017, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2025) & World Indoor Championships (2026).
Bol has won the Australian 800m Championship six times (2018-19, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2023-24, 2024-25, 2025-26). He holds the Australian 800m Record (1:42.55, Monaco 2025) & the Australian Short Track 800m Record (1:45.14i, Torun 2026).
Bol was provisionally suspended by Athletics Australia in January 2023 after a failed out-of-competition doping test. The suspension was lifted in February 2023 after testing his B sample & he was officially cleared in August 2023 by Sports Integrity Australia.
Bol has been honoured with awards including:
